This is a beautifully restored early 1900s photo of The Robinson Library, in Abbey Street, Armagh. The library was founded in 1771 by the then Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, Richard Robinson. Later first Baron Rokeby provided the purpose-built building which the Library still remains along with his collection of 8,000 books, pamphlets, manuscripts, prints, gems, medals and coins. The original image has been expertly repaired, restored, HD enhanced and colourised. The original print is dated possibly between 1900 and 1910.
