This is a beautifully restored early 1900s photo of the Charlemont Arms Hotel in Armagh. The hotel was originally home to a Dr Atkinson, but by the 1760’s it had become a hostel and was name “The Caulfield Arms.” In 1763 it was renamed when the fourth Viscount Caulfield was created Earl of Charlemont. The image has been expertly restored, HD enhanced and colourised. The original print is dated possibly between 1900 and 1910.
